This opportunity is a little more advanced than your standard cat care. This duty involves one-on-one cat care, cage cleaning, close observation and handling of infectious diseases in the back of house Intake and Isolation rooms.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning out cages and replacing dirty linen, litter boxes, and food & water bowls
- Handling animals with infections, parasites, and other diseases
- Sweeping & mopping floors
- Closely observing animals health and noting changes in behavior/physical appearance
- Taking out garbage
- Preparing cages for new arrivals or cats that return from surgeries
- Dealing with cats with behavioral issues and advanced health problems
The dress code is jeans and closed-toe shoes. You may be exposed to scratches, bites, cat waste, unpleasant odors, and zoonotic disease.
