The cafe gets regular cleanings daily, but what about what lies underneath? The windows get dirty and the carpets get full of cat hair. On Wednesdays, you will get together weekly and deeply clean the café and other rooms. We have daily cleaning, so when you come in, the litter boxes will be done and the place will seem clean, but there’s a lot beyond what our great volunteers do on the daily. That being said, this doesn’t necessarily have much to do with the furry friends, but you are always welcome to hang out with them, as long as you get some cleaning done of course! ;)
Responsibilities include:
- Sweeping & vacuuming the floors
- Mopping the floors
- Cleaning windows
- Washing tables and other surfaces
- Cleaning up after cats
- Ensuring the café is clean and safe for cats and guests
The dress code is jeans and closed-toe shoes. You may be exposed to scratches, bites, cat waste, unpleasant odors, and zoonotic disease.
